如何用英文表達悼念之情？

2021年4月9號，英國女王伊麗莎白二世的丈夫菲臘親王去世，享年99歲，其葬禮預定在4月17號在溫莎城堡內舉行。

那麼在這種場合我們應該怎麼運用英文來表達我們的感情呢？

這裡有一些關於悼念的單字和搭配。

1. commemorate 緬懷 紀念
   在公開的場合或活動中以某種特殊的形式緬懷，紀念某人
   E.g. People have put flowers and cards in the park to commemorate the victims.
2. in memory/remembrance of  以紀念，以緬懷
   向逝者表達紀念，緬懷之情，其中，memory 表示「記憶」，remembrance表示「回憶」
   E.g.You can purchase a park bench with a personalized plaque in memory of a loved one.
3. pay homage/tribute to 向某人致敬，對某人表示尊敬
   也可以用來表達對故人的尊敬
   The singer gave a heartfelt performance to pay tribute to the deceased ones.
4. mourn for 悼念 哀悼
   Mourn 悼念 追悼，for ＋人或物
   E.g. The widower mourn for his deceased wife.
5. honour the memory of 緬懷
   Honour 做動詞，表達對……表示尊敬，所以 honour the memory of someone 意思是緬懷某人
   We are gathered here to honour the memory of the heroes whose lives were lost in the great fire.
6. Express deep condolences to sb. 向某人表達深切的悼念
   Condolences 表示名詞「吊唁」
   E.g. The students express deep condolences to armies who lost their lives in the wars.
