餐廳常用英語

如果你打算去英美澳加自由行的話,就一定要學會到餐館點菜的英語。西人都對服務員都很客氣的,不會呼呼喝喝。對他們來說,出外吃飯是娛樂消閒活動,都很重視禮貌。跟香港人純粹為了填飽肚不同。

還有一點,他們都覺得吃完要給小費是理所當然的,有些服務員只有很少底薪,靠小費生活。記得不要太孤寒啊!

訂檯

客人說:

“I booked a table for two for … (8pm).(我訂了兩位)
“It’s under the name of …”(是用某某的名訂的)
“A table for two please.”(請訂兩個位)

服務員說:

“Of course. Please come this way.”(沒問題,請進來)

或者……

“Your table isn’t quite ready yet.”(你的座位還沒有準備好)
“Would you like to wait in the bar?”(可以在吧檯那邊等一下嗎?)
“We’re fully booked at the moment. Could you come back a bit later?”(我們都訂滿了,可以遲一點回來嗎?)

想看菜單

如果客人看不明白菜單,他可以這樣問服務員:

“What’s … exactly?”(這個菜是什麼?)
“Is this served with … (salad)?”(會跟沙律一起上嗎?)
“Does this have any … (seafood) in it?”(裡面有海鮮嗎?)
“What do you recommend?”(你有什麼建議嗎?)

點菜

服務員說:

“Are you ready to order?”(請問準備好點菜了嗎?)
“Can I take your order?”(可以為你點菜嗎?)
“Anything to drink?”(要喝點什麼嗎?)
“Would you like … (chips) with that?”(要跟薯條嗎?)

客人說:

“I’ll have…”(我想要)
“I’d like…”(我想要)
“Can I have …”(請問我可以要)
“We’d like to order …”(我想要)

如果要點的菜沒有了,服務員會說:

“I don’t think we have any more … (lobster) left. I’ll check with the kitchen.”(我估計沒有龍蝦了。我可以問問廚房)
“I’m sorry, but the king prawn soup is finished.”(不好意思,已經沒有大蝦了)

投訴

客人可能說:

“Excuse me, but I didn’t order this.”(不好意思,我沒有點這個菜)
“I’m sorry, but this is cold.”(不好意思,這碟菜很冷)
“Can I change my order please?”(請問我可以改一改我點的菜嗎?)

服務員可以說:

“I’m so sorry about that…”(不好意思)
“Let me take it back for you.” (take it back = return it to the kitchen)(讓我看看再給你)
“Let me change it for you.”(讓我跟你換另一碟菜)

埋單

客人說:

“Can we have the bill please?”(可以給我賬單嗎?)
“Could we get the bill?”(可以給我賬單嗎?)
“Could we pay please?”(我可以結賬嗎?)
